I washed the seat cover when it was dirty in the washer and stains always came out. It clicks into the base great and I like the triangle top part of the carrier. I used the cover for the feet for the first couple months since it was winter when the kids were born but then took off which was very easy to remove. I thought it was easy to install. would recommend!
